These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Veil website, protocol interfaces, applications, documentation, and related services (the “Services”). By accessing or using Veil, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. What Veil Provides

Veil provides privacy-preserving financial infrastructure, software, and related tools designed for confidential digital asset settlement and stablecoin systems.

Veil may provide:

- Protocol software and smart contracts
- Web interfaces and dashboards
- Documentation and developer tools
- Research, diagrams, and technical materials

Unless explicitly stated, Veil does not act as a bank, broker, custodian, or financial advisor.

2. Eligibility

You agree that:

- You are legally allowed to use these Services in your jurisdiction
- You are not located in a restricted or sanctioned region
- You are not on any prohibited or sanctions list
- You are using the Services on your own behalf or with proper authority

Enterprise users are responsible for internal approvals and compliance.

3. No Financial Advice

All information provided by Veil is for general informational and technical purposes only.

Nothing on the site or in the protocol materials should be treated as:

- Investment advice
- Legal advice
- Tax advice
- Accounting advice
- Trading recommendations

You are responsible for your own decisions and risk assessment.

4. Protocol and Smart Contract Risk

Blockchain systems involve risk. By using Veil-related software or smart contracts, you accept that:

- Smart contracts may contain bugs or vulnerabilities
- Cryptographic systems may fail or be attacked
- Transactions may be irreversible
- Digital assets may lose value
- Network congestion or forks may impact outcome

You use the protocol at your own risk.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

- Maintain control0 control of your keys, wallets, and credentials
- Verify all transaction details before submitting
- Follow applicable compliance and reporting rules
- Avoid misuse, abuse, or attack of the protocol or site

You are fully responsible for your transactions and wallet security.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Veil Services to:

- Violate laws or regulations
- Launder funds or conceal illegal proceeds
- Finance terrorism or sanctioned activity
- Exploit protocol vulnerabilities
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems
- Interfere with service availability
- Scrape or copy infrastructure at scale without permission

Veil may restrict access if abuse is detected.

7. Privacy and Confidential Systems

Veil is designed to support confidential transactions and selective disclosure. However:

- Users are responsible for how they manage viewing keys and disclosure controls
- Misuse of disclosure tools is the user’s responsibility
- External wallet or chain activity may still be public

- External wallets
- Exchanges

- Smart contract exploits

- Business interruption

This applies even if Veil was advised of possible damages.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Veil and its contributors from claims arising out of:

- Your protocol interactions
- Your breach of these Terms

14. Suspension or Termination

Protocol smart contracts deployed on public networks may remain accessible regardless of website access.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of: American Jurisdiction

Disputes will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction unless otherwise required by law.
